The Olashore University Foundation Programme has over 9 years of experience in providing an outstanding preparatory programme for the students wishing to study at Lancaster University or at any top UK and Irish universities. The purpose of the Foundation programme is to provide students with necessary skills needed to go on to study for an undergraduate Degree through the combination of core skills and pathway modules.
Core skill modules developed the students’ critical thinking, fluent oral presentations with effective use of visual aids, making inferences from analysis and enhanced basic application of inductive and deductive reasoning to solve a variety of problems.
Pathway modules are specifically designed to provide the widest range of undergraduate degree options. Not only do we develop student’s academic and language proficiency but we also provide student with opportunities to expand and enhance their study skills, attributes and personal development which enable our students to get most from future university experience.
Our method of teaching is similar to the UK universities which includes lecture, seminar, projects, tutorial and personal tutor system which allows students to experience small teaching groups, providing a level of contact with the teaching staff and a fulfill level of independent study within their career pathway modules.
During the 1 year Foundation programme, OUFP students will embark on Academic and Cultural tour to UK. The aims of the visit includes to provide the LUFP students an opportunity to visit some areas of the UK around Lancaster and experience UK cities, expose the LUFP students to aspects of studying at Lancaster University and to attend a short course on study skill for easy integration into University life.
I hope that you will find on the site helpful and informative. It should give you, our future students, a glimpse of the opportunities we offer and a flavor of the challenges that awaits you.
